Life in a fast lane,
no time to pause for smile, sob;
clockwork urban rush.
City lights burn bright,
radiant future lures hearts;
urban dreams twinkle.

I enjoyed your verses. It took a bit of time pondering and remembering...forty years in a small town of 6,000 now only 7000. The rushing, the lights, the hopes...appeal to many. Not me...I now prefer the rustic life in a small town.

Yes the seemingly laid-back life is healing, the rusticity adds meaning to life, but not everyone is lucky. That is what I have attempted to capture. Thank you Siggi for sharing your thoughts:)
