Tense wait.

Tick tock, tick tock, the clock kept ticking. All she could do now was wait. Even seconds seemed like minutes. She jumped up from her chair on hearing beeping sounds. Should she or shouldn't she open the door? Fingers crossed, she opened it hesitantly.

Relieved, she smiled. It was her first attempt at baking a cake.

  1. She probably smelt heaven and not burnt like I did at my first (and last) attempt at baking :P

    Cheers

  2. Excellent. I fully understand what you wrote. Have you waited and watched the water to boil on the stove! As you said, seconds will seem like minutes and minutes will seem like hours.

    1. You got it SG, try boiling milk and the moment you turn your back on it, it will boil over. It does not matter if it has been on the stove for 5 min or 10 min before that.

  3. Brilliant 55! Waiting for anything while watching a clock just makes it take forever. ♥

    1. Thank you for the appreciation Kathy:) Very true, somehow looking at the clock repeatedly seems to make time stuck...

  4. Everyone expects the first product to be as desired. Very impressively keyboarded.
