Levelled.

His eyes steal glances,
she silently steals his heart,
love strikes a balance.
************************************
Towering egos
crumble to dust, nothing lasts.
Time restores balance
************************************
Just good not enough,
aim higher, even better than best,
time to raise the bar.

This post is shared with  Haikuhorizons and this week's prompt is LEVEL

  8. Very well written Reshma. Are all three related? I think each of them deserved a separate posting.

Loved the second one the most. Time is a great leveller. Or is it death? :)

    Cheers

    1. Thanks CRD, they are all inspired by the same prompt but are standalone Haiku.
True, death is just the next level after life as we know it... Sure I'll drop by, I had thought I had added your blog to my blogroll but it seems I had not saved the change :P and was wondering where you had disappeared for so long...

  9. I enjoyed all three of your haiku but, what I was most impressed with is that you conveyed a diferent sense of "level" in each haiku without, ever actually, using the word "level" at all. Very creative and intelligent writing. My haiku is fluff, by comparison but, thanks to you and the other talented poets on this site, I am getting a good sense of what is possible here and am looking forward to next Monday's challenge very much.
