Eternal tangle-
running through life to get more,
false hope of leisure
*******************************************
Frenzied nights begin-
cramming lessons for exams,
last minute learning.

This post is shared with Haikuheights and the prompt is TIME

The first one is so true ... we run and run to get more and more, but eventually, do we get what would have made us contented.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd one is my story :-P
Sometimes we don't have a choice, we just have to run with the hope that we might get something more...
DeleteWe are all guilty of studying at the nth moment Amrit :D
Yes it really is a myth that life after retirement is bliss here for us!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe grass always looks greener on the other side Nanka, life is like that :)
DeleteBoth are so very true. It is all about enjoying the journey of life. Thinking of enjoying after the retirement, one would have lost and missed so much!
ReplyDeleteYes Shilpa, although it is not easy to live in the moment, that is the best way to be happy :)
DeleteNicely done Reshma
ReplyDeleteThank you Celestine :)
DeleteYou really captured the paradox of our time-saving strategies perfectly and the stress!
ReplyDeleteThanks Candice:) Time is irreversible and that adds to the complexity of life.
DeleteThis is really good one...and true...yet I know we will keep running..

Thank you Sir, its like a never ending circle, we run after/from it and it chases/lures us :)
DeleteReshma, nice takes on the prompt. Time needs to be used wisely... :)
ReplyDeleteClaudia
Thank you for drooping by Claudia :) Yes time is precious and needs to be used wisely
DeleteReshma, nice takes on the prompt. very different. Specially the second one. I can so much relate with it as i was one of those last minute learning kids :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Cynthia :) All of us have sailed in the last minute boat :D
DeleteI think it's one of life's lesson that we learn to take time for ourselves. Most of us are in that rat race for a long time before figuring it out. Time always ticking on whether we are ready or not.
ReplyDeleteVery true Maggie, we are unwillingly and unknowingly part of the rat race.
Deleteloved both.. and the second one... awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anjali :)
DeleteLovely thoughts. There is no point in running after time, we do have all the time in the world and one has to plan and enjoy every second of our lives. My God, cramming for examination,I remember doing it every time just before last minute, and promising myself I would never do like that again.
ReplyDeleteTrue Rama, but we cant avoid rushing through things most of the times. The exam time study promise is one most of us have made and broken many times :P
DeleteOh, I so remember the 2nd one.. :-)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my blog foam :)
Deletefoam is me .. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Diana for clarifying :)
