Master

Unbridled thoughts dart,
mind holds on desperately-
reluctant master.

******************************
Don't hear, argue;
instead listen and discuss;
master guides pupil.

This post is shared with Haikuhorizons and this week's prompt is MASTER

  1. Beautiful. Sounds like a Samurai teacher advising his student. On the other hand, it sounds like more like a Zen Buddhist's advice to his pupil.

    If I write about Samurai, it will itself become a post within a post. So, I will write an email to you.

  2. discussion and asking questions is the soul of gaining knowledge. Socrates always urged his pupils to ask, ask and ask and then discuss upon all the answers.

  6. Thought provoking haiku. "listen and discuss"- something which we have to always keep in mind.

    1. Thanks Rahmath, we often forget to listen and only like to speak our hearts out. I wanted to remind myself to listen and be patient.
